The Look Book BDSM interiors, inspiration and furniture

Rooms, steel and ritual. This issue gathers the rooms, light and objects we keep returning to, alongside our own furniture.

Why we started a Look Book

Search for BDSM interiors and most of what comes back is either explicit or dated: red walls, black vinyl, rooms nobody would choose to live in. Little of it shows the kind of space we design for, where the furniture is as considered as anything else in the house.

So we started collecting: light we keep returning to, surfaces and objects that belong in a room built for ritual, and our own beds, crosses and cages in the rooms they suit.

The issue runs in three chapters. Structure looks at the frame and how it organises a room. Material is about surfaces: steel, plaster, concrete and light. Ritual is about the quiet rooms, the ones where everything has a place. Read it in any order and come back to it.

If you'd like your room in the next issue, send it to us.

For owners

Send us your room.

Selected rooms may appear in a future issue, credited however you choose, including anonymously.

How to send your room

Photograph the room in daylight first, with the main light off, from the doorway and from one corner. Then take one at night with the lamps you'd normally use. Two or three photographs are plenty.

Please keep faces, tattoos and identifiable features out of photos.

Send this form first. We'll reply by email so you can send your photographs.
